I hired Fabio Moving based on a recommendation from a colleague, and I was truly impressed with the service I received. I was moving from a tiny first floor condo to a larger 5th floor condo (which was only accessible by stairs). When they arrived (on time), my belongings were quickly wrapped in blankets and securely placed within the moving truck. When we got to my new place, my belongings were moved to my new condo (up 4 flights of stairs) at a pace which was amazing! Add to this that it was the hottest day of the summer, and you can probably understand why I was so impressed. (I even offered them bottled water bought exclusively for their use, which they kindly declined.) The total time it took to move my belongings out of my old place and into my new place took roughly three hours, which was two less than what I had anticipated. The quote on the move was also the cheapest quote I received, allowing me more flexibility than big moving companies. (Fabio charges from when he arrives, not from when he leaves his office. Also, you are not charged additionally for any blankets and/or tape used.) The best part was Fabio assembled my furniture for me, and helped me put a door on my closet (which the floor people had taken off). I was really impressed by the level of service I received, and have recommended Fabio to all of my friends and colleagues!

I first used them way back in Dec. 2003. I had just moved to Boston from the midwest, and needed to move a lot of stuff from a storage unit in Everett to my new apartment in Brighton. I found their ad on Craigslist and gave them a call after being turned down or quoted really high prices by a few other companies.
Fabio himself and two associates arrived on time at the storage place and immediately got to work. They were extremely businesslike, professional and polite. To my amazement, they safely and securely packed an entire 1 bedroom apartment into an extra large cargo van. There was no cramming or damaged furniture involved; everything fit together like pieces in a puzzle.
When they unloaded, they were just as fast and efficient, and put together my bed and kitchen table for me.
In 2006, when I and a roommate were moving from a Brighton triple decker with impossibly narrow stairs, I called Fabio again. They managed to get two loveseats, a queen size mattress set and a full size mattress set safely out of the house with more ease and aplomb than we had been able to move it in in the first place. Hoists were involved, but the job was done pretty quickly. We had expected everything to take so long, that we had postponed some of the packing until moving day, figuring we could pack as the movers loaded up. They ended up being done before we were and waiting on us!
They've always done right by me, and I have no reservations about recommending them to anyone else. They do a great job and take pride in a job well done, which can be a rare thing in Boston!

We just used Fabio movers for our move from Somerville to Chelsea last Friday after a recommendation from my roommate's cousin, and they were the best movers I have ever used. Fabio himself and another worker arrived promptly at 9:00am and within two hours had packed up our entire apartment (2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen), and they had three flights of stairs to deal with to move us out. They were very friendly and helpful - they even repacked a few of the things which weren't in appropriate boxes. We didn't tell them the size of truck we would require, however they estimated it perfectly. All in all, we were extremely pleased with quality and cost of the service. I would recommend them to anyone who is moving.

I am so impressed with this moving company, and I have tried many over the last few years. Jenny is so incredibly courteous and helpful, and Fabio and his attending crew are also very professional. The men he hires to help him are fast, strong, and considerate. When he moved my boyfriend today, they moved a couch from one room to another as a courtesy when we decided we wanted it in another room. I have also had Fabio disassemble a canopy bed in the middle of a move and he managed it beautifully. They are also so great with breakables! When my boyfriend moved, Fabio's truck was completely full, and everything was secured and arrived safely and unbroken. This is a hard-working group of people, and I am amazed at how reasonable they manage to keep their rates, especially compared to other movers in Boston!

Fabio Movers Rock! With Hurricane Kyle looming, we went forward and moved out a three bedroom home on the Cape this weekend. Fabio showed up on time and with a smile. I contacted Fabio's company about moving furniture I purchased from a private party. Jenny was very accommodating and sensitive when I needed to change dates and times. She emailed me with the details of the delivery and was in telephone contact with me to finalize the schedule. Fabio and his staff arrived promptly at the seller's home, in the midst of a rainstorm. They wrapped and secured the furniture and arrived at my home, again, promptly as estimated. The delivery to my second floor was carried out with precision and care. Fabio presented the contract and explained the process. He and his staff were professional, neat, clean, efficient, and very protective of our puchase. Fabio Moves! I will recommend him to family, friends and business associates. You will not be disappointed if you engage him.

Fabio moved us from a 2nd floor apartment to a house in Lexington. They moved everything, but not appliances, which stayed where they were.
Terrific! They returned a quote to us quickly and helped guide us on what they would do on moving day. Fabio showed up on time and began moving boxes right away. They even moved a large couch that had to be pulled up over the back porch. It actually took two trips, but they finished everything by 6pm. The quote was spot on. Nothing was broken, they moved the boxes to the right places in the house and were very quick and very professional. I will be recommending Fabio to everyone I know!

We first hired Fabio Moving Services in October 2007 to move into our new home. Since then we’ve hired Fabio several times to move antiques that movers brought in from other parts of the country but would not bring into the house. I also asked him to move a huge teak table six flights up to the roof deck and bring a smaller one down six flights to the backyard. No problem! We had a very valuable 150 year old French farm table that would not fit into our new house but we didn’t want to take a storage unit out just for that. It couldn’t come apart, but Fabio managed to figure out how to get it into a friend’s attic, up very narrow stairs, of course without leaving any marks on the walls. The last move was a museum quality French Wedding armoire. The armoire needed to go from the street level floor up four flights of stairs in our 1868 house. It would not fit. The dealer in New York assured me could easily come apart, just taking out some pegs. But when it arrived, Fabio found it to be full of nails. He agreed to try to carefully take them out. Then like magic, while I was out, the armoire was upstairs and in it’s place.
Other movers will complain, break things, leave marks, and stress you out. Not Fabio. He is the best!

I found Fabio and his assistant to be Extrememly professional and friendly, that had my apartment entirely packed and moved into my new apartment within 2 hours. Most people would say that's nothing but it was big for me since I had lived at the previous address for 26 years!!!. I would highly recommend and use again. Fabio Movers had two weeks prior picked up a bedroom set from a Craigslist customer for me as well. Thanks to Fabio and his company.

Fabio and his crew did an outstanding job. They arrived at our house on moving day within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, which we were happy with. Upon arrival, Fabio reviewed all the pieces that were to be moved that day. We told him our concerns that the furniture is handled carefully and that care is taken not to damage any of the recently painted walls (we’ve had bad experiences with other movers in the past). We have many decent quality pieces of wood furniture which they took excellent care of. Nothing was damaged or scratched. Even though we were paying by the hour, they all moved very quickly, efficiently, and with care. Fabio uses large rubber bands instead of tape to hold blankets on furniture. We liked this because it was not only fast, but also less wasteful. When moving into the second floor apartment in Boston, all the large pieces were hoisted over the balcony. Again, this was done with care and nothing was damaged. Fabio and his crew could not have done a better job. Everything went perfectly. (from Angie's list service provided on June 14th, 2009)

In the past moving has been an endless task, usually involving pinched fingers, and back spasms mixed with short emotional fuses and exhaustion. Not something to look forward to. But I'm afraid I have to admit that I am not as young and spry as I once was, and I hurt my back since our last move, so I knew that this time I was going to be needing a lot of help. I only have limited experience with movers, so I wasn't really sure what to expect from retaining some to assist us. When I called to inquire about Fabio moving, the woman who answered my call was very helpful. She sorted out what we would need to move our family of four, and even told me how to get in touch with the city to arrange for a parking waiver. Fabio and his 2 guys showed up this morning. They picked everything up, whisked it away, put it in my new apartment and smiled all the while.
They were speedy, polite, efficient and neat. A box collapsed, they dealt with it. The bed needed to be taken apart and reassembled, no problem, zip zip zip with the drill, and done. Wow. I am so impressed I am already planning on calling them to help me on a far smaller move next month. If I could sing their praises any louder I would, and I hope that if you are reading this and considering hiring them, that you will do it.
Really, they rock. And you will be stunned by how easy they make it look. I know I am.

Comments: Fabio and his crew are fantastic! I have moved many, many times and have worked with a lot of moving crews. Fabio runs a very efficient operation. Every member of the team worked tirelessly and took such good care of our things. I moved from a three bedroom apartment with office, dining room and living room furniture along with about 90 boxes of stuff. These guys do not stop. Every piece of furniture
was carefully wrapped with pads. I would highly recommend them for your next move of any size. They have helped us with small furniture delivery jobs as well as two household moves.

I hate moving, but I love Fabio! I've moved with him 3 times over the past 4 years and am about to move yet again. He and his partner have always been on time and done a perfect job. They are polite, efficient, and hardworking! I've moved to and from 3rd floor apartments with teeny triple-decker staircases; I've had mattresses that had to be hoisted over balconies and stuff that's needed to be dragged out of dank, low-ceilinged basements. They do it all with a smile. I once had them pick up a couch from craigslist, and the owner actually called me afterward to mention how nice they were!
Jenny is always quick to respond to requests for estimates (or to call when they're early/theoretically late), and the rates are super reasonable-- a fraction of what Gentle Giant wanted to charge me. They do only take cash but have been happy to drive me to an atm when I forgot to go beforehand.
Call Fabio and let him carry your worries away!

I can't compliment Fabio and his crew enough. They arrived on time, worked hard, were very friendly and courtesy, and didn't damage anything. They were all business once they arrived and Fabio was very efficient in packing his truck. Brady was also very knowledgeable about moving things quickly. They also helped us pack loose items and plants that we couldn't pack in advance. Once they got to the house, they moved everything to where we directed them. It was also raining for the 2nd half of the move, but it didn't slow them down at all. I have moved and have helped other people move several times, and this was the smoothest move I've ever been a part in working with a moving company. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any type of move. They provide a great service for far less than comparable movers.
